Rev. D. Rajan Immanuel is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Shekinah Global Methodist Church, Chennai. Since beginning pastoral ministry in 2004, he has devoted his life to preaching the Gospel, making disciples, strengthening families, developing leaders, and serving communities with the love of Christ.
His ministry is deeply shaped by his own story of transformation. Once an atheist, his journey to faith was profoundly influenced by the persistent prayers and faithful witness of his mother. His encounter with Jesus Christ changed the direction of his life and eventually became a calling to help others discover the same grace, hope, and purpose.
His testimony continues to strengthen his conviction that no life is beyond God’s reach and every person has dignity, value, and purpose in Him.

As Lead Pastor, Rev. Rajan carries a vision for a Church that is rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, committed to discipleship, and engaged in transforming communities a place where people encounter God, grow in faith, discover their purpose, and are equipped to serve.
His passion is simple: to see lives transformed by Christ and transformed lives impacting generations.
Academic & Theological Formation
Rev. Rajan believes that effective Christian leadership requires both spiritual formation and a commitment to lifelong learning. His academic and theological journey includes:
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) – University of Madras
Master of Arts in Christian Studies (M.A) – University of Madras
Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) – Senate of Serampore College
Master of Divinity (M.Div.) – ATA Accredited Program

Ministry Vision
Rev.Rajan believes that the Church is called not only to worship God but also to be a transforming presence in society. Under his leadership, Shekinah Global Methodist Church seeks to:

A Heart for the Community
Rev. Rajan’s ministry extends beyond the walls of the local church. He is passionate about community development and social outreach, particularly among people who experience poverty, exclusion, vulnerability, or limited opportunities.
Through various ministry and outreach initiatives, his vision is to contribute to the restoration and strengthening of:
